Gist of  the story on goodreads
Penny always knew she had been short changed right from the start.
Her mother decided from an early age that Penny would never amount to much. Already in her late thirties, lonely and unhappy, Penny looks set to fulfil her mother’s prophecy. She wants to change her life but lacks the confidence to do so. She longs for friends and a life that doesn’t consist of wiping runny noses and walking her dog with a neighbor she dislikes. Even taking her dog to a new park nearly results in disaster.
But then she takes control... one small step triggers a series of changes, and she begins to experience the life she has longed for. A Penny's Worth is a fun, fast-moving, wise-cracking tale of self worth. A witty and highly rewarding read.

My View I'll rather say this is a completely inspirational story or self-help book which is represented in a fictional manner. This is a very short and simple story but always implies how to come across your own negativity. It shows how to handle each and every situation around us whether it's may positive or negative. I think this book'll always motivate you and take your moral level up.

The whole story revolves around a women Penny, who approaches to 40 but never able to feel the magic moments of her life. Her mother always tried to hold her on the safe side of her life and tried to decide which path should she follow or which one one she shouldn't or she can't.
But these things never allow Penny to express herself openly rather made her an irritated or annoyed person, who always prefer loneliness. Because she was driving another one's dream not her own.
But finally, how Penny went against the tide, her own family, her mother  and yes, from her own lonely, safe or comfort cell to an adventurous life. A place where she can get a chance to prove herself. Because at the end of the day she was worth much more than this.

I must say, everyone should read it because it's not too long. And the book is not so serious type rather some part of it really make you laugh. I think anyone can enjoy it.
A line of this book really touched me  "You just have to believe that you will and don’t give up. More importantly, believe in you and what you are trying to achieve, the rest will come in its own time.

Crossing On The Paris

BOOK TITLE CROSSING ON THE PARIS
AUTHOR DANA GYNTHER
GENRE HISTORICAL FICTION
  AUTHOR'S WEBSITE  DANAGYNTHER

About Author "Crossing on the Paris"  Dana's debut novel, was inspired by translating the museum catalog "Gigantes del Atlantico: Los Paquebotes de la French Line" (Giants of the Atlantic: Ocean Steamers of the French Line). While working on that translation, she became fascinated by the aesthetics, mechanics, food and entertainment, and social structures on board those floating cities.

Gist of the story on goodreads  The year is 1921. Three women set out on the impressive Paris ocean liner on a journey from Paris to New York. Julie Vernet is a young French woman from a working class family who has just gotten her first job as a crew worker on the ship. Escaping her small town and the memory of war, she longs for adventure on the high seas.
Constance Stone is a young American wife and mother who has traveled to Paris to rescue her bohemian sister, Faith, who steadfastly refuses to return to America and settle down. Constance returns home to New York, having failed at the duty her father asked of her.Vera Sinclair, a rich, ex-patriate American is leaving France after thirty-one years to live out her remaining time home in America. Over the course of the transatlantic voyage, she reflects on her colorful life and looks forward to a quiet retirement. While each of these women come from different walks of life, their paths cross while at sea in a series of chance encounters. The powerful impact these disparate lives have on one another make for a magnificent and unforgettable read.

My View:

"A Letter to three Ladies..."

My Lovely Julie,
Hey!!! You are such a beautiful lady just like your name 'Little Julie'. By the way you are a wonderful woman and your birthmark makes you much more special. Do you know Julie, when I was a child, my mother once asked me "Can you tell me which things inside the moon make it more special and beautiful at night?".  And my answer was because of it's brightness. But I remembered she said that it's because of  it's few dark spots and patches. So Julie never blame it again. Do you know, you are such a lucky person  that your wish came true. You got a chance to be a part of this transforming voyage. When you reached New York, Just crossing Paris you became a new person with values and experience. I knew from the beginning that you are a strong lady, just like your brothers with full of courage and  passion. I'll never forget about Loic, who just joined army to write about soldier's life style for his writing passion. The thing is Julie, you never realized about yourself though you had a lot of care about your brother. "But Life rule isn't so strict. Anything is Possible" I am happy that at the end you changed and took your decision yourself. You stood on your own feet. And finally became more young but not stupid. I like your attitude towards the life. The sufferings and pains you had gone through made you more stronger ever. So never leave these values of your life again. Wish you a very happy life.

Hello Constance,
You are a very friendly person. You always deserve a place in between some good friends and people. And I like your thought to give a chance to women to prove them self and take part in social works. This is a very noble thought and it'll decide our path in future. I think you never get a chance to express yourself, it may be because of you or others.
Constance, you are a very caring mother, wife as well as a daughter. You never run away from your own situations, problems and burdens of your family. I am happy that you proved it each and every time till the end. And at the end your took a bold step in your life without any confusion and with a clear mind. I can feel the change and transformation inside you, that you owned through this journey. From a confused, loaded with full of burden at the beginning to a transparent heart and a woman with a full of love for herself and for her life and for others.

Dear Vera,
I hope I ever get a chance to make a journey with you. You truly influenced me. Through out this journey you taught me many things as well as to my friends(Julie and Constance). Because of your experience and age, you were looking more beautiful. Sorry!!! A Handsome lady. The first time, I got the difference in between these two words. Yes, You are such a handsome lady.
I appreciate  that you suggest Constance to have a proper good-bye with the doctor before finishing her voyage to avoid regrets in future. And that is called the experience. Without you this story, this voyage and the transformation is incomplete.

This debut novel by Dana is a wonderfully and noble story. As a historical novel it depicts the ancient English culture beautiful. From the beginning, the story maintained it's pace. I'll appreciate the way author gave each character  equal emphasis and tried to join each scene with others. Yes, the end is little bit first but beautiful.
Some people may say that the first part is little bit slow and boring, it may be true but due to this the full story is looking more interesting. I enjoyed this and highly recommended to every one.

Murmur Of The Lonely Brooks

Book Title Murmur of the lonely brook
   Author        Debashis Dey
   Genre         Fiction
   Website      Author's website

About Author Debashis Dey gave up a high-powered career in media to live in a remote village among tribal nomads in the Himalayas. Born in Calcutta, Debashis has been writing poetry and short stories from his childhood and contributes to the The American Chronicle. And Murmur of the Lonely Brook, is his first novel.

Gist of the book on goodreads  Pravin is happy to marry Nisha, the girl of his choice. Nisha loves her husband but also enjoys the infatuation from his brother. She spends her days happily with a perpetually sad mother-in-law Parvati repenting on her past life sins, a short tempered Shevak, a love-stricken sister-in-law Ria, a kid goat munching everything, a lamb with a baritone bleat and her husband’s brother Diwakar lost in dreams. Everything goes well until Nisha’s life is torn apart by a proposal, and assumed betrayal, by the one and only love of her life, her husband Pravin when he suggests common marriage, an ancient tradition still followed in this region in which both brothers share a single wife, Nisha. The family is supportive save Nisha who is horrified by the thought of sharing her love with someone for whom she has a brotherly affection.
Will Nisha compromise her values… or will she fight the age old traditions?

My View

I got a copy of this book from the author through the publisher  in exchange for an honest review. And first of all thank you Debashis for sharing your story with me.

Once I finished this book, I decided to review this book from three different angles. So that a reader can get both positive and negative aspects of this book.

From Author's point    If you take a look toward the backside cover page of this book you will find there is a line "Murmur of the Lonely Brook, reflects author's immersion into an ancient culture that continues to follow age-old rituals, customs, and tradition. A major portion of the proceeds from this book will be used ti build a health facility for the downtrodden women of the region." As the author just gave up a high powered career, where he spent his most valuable 20 years of his life just to live in a remote village among tribal, it shows that there is a special place for these tribal nomads in the author's heart and he has made a dedicate research on them, their culture, age-old tradition, customs and living styles. Without any doubt the book reflects that. You can picture the village life, it's own people, their struggle, their cheering moments, their old beliefs, their life styles, the nature, the family values and many more from this book. Through this book you can travel to a beautiful village "where the world was small and Imagination did not have wings like in the city. The harsh reality of life was overpowering." I think this was the strong part of this book because the author loves all these from the core of his heart. So without any doubt you'll enjoy this journey like a roller coaster.

Looking towards the story    It's all about Nisha. A beautiful women for whom, the love and marriage converge at  a single point, the pleasure in physical relationship.Because she never got anything from Pravin, her husband and love, except this. But very soon all of her definition and expectation changed  when she just collided with the age-old family tradition that is the common marriage. Now she was confused how to share herself mentally and physically between two brothers. She could not prepare herself how to compromise with her values and most importantly how to share her love.
Finally she got the answer. "Love is not just a momentary feeling and the pleasant moment of sensual pleasure. It was more than it. And she could never find love in someone else. Rather it existed in herself. Only inside her." Many lines of this book also touch me.

What I didn't like  The problem is most of the characters are not strong except Nisha and Diwakar. Sometimes it looked like they are just part of it to make the story complete. And yes the story is too slow from beginning. Only at the end the story took it's pace. I think though the author depicted the village life so clearly and so many times inside the story, that  it just overpowered on the story itself negatively.

RATING- 3.5/5   It's good novel but not the best.

Daughter Of Jerusalem

   BOOK TITLE Daughter of Jerusalem
   AUTHOR        Joan Wolf
   GENRE           Historical Fiction
   WEBSITE      Author's & Publisher's

About Author Joan Wolf is a USA TODAY bestselling American writer, whose acclaimed Regency romances have earned her national recognition as a master of the genre. Her many historical and contemporary romances, some of which have been chosen as Literary Guild selections, have been highly praised by reviewers and authors alike. Along the way she has managed to write 46 published novels, the writing of which profoundly enriched her life.

Gist of the story on GOODREADS In Daughter of Jerusalem, readers will quickly identify with Mary Magdalene– a woman of deep faith who used her wealth and influence to serve Jesus. This fictionalized story of Mary Magdalene is, in the truest sense of the word, an inspirational novel for modern people who are looking to renew in themselves the message of Christ. It’s the greatest story ever lived, told by one of the most famous women who ever lived, and it’s a page-turner. Joan Wolf’s years of success as a novelist enable her to combine storytelling and a faith plot in this beautifully written biblical fiction.

My View

Once you will finish the book, I hope you can clearly understand why I have just underlined the line in the above section. So without any doubt the book has a strong link up with the Biblical background but in a story telling manner. But I am not discussing here what is the story of this book? Who is Mary and her heart touching life story? Who is Jesus? etc.

Rather I have a question for all the readers of this book. "Why the name of this book is Daughter of Jerusalem ?" Is there any problem if we'll just change the name of this book to  "Son of Jerusalem ?"  If you are not still agree with me, then I can give you a simple explanation for this. As according to the book, Jesus was the SON OF LORD. He was the MESSIAH. He was the person who taught everyone how to love and how to forgive. He knew the true meaning of spirituality and path to heaven. Then why Mary should be considered the main character of this book who was always confused with her past, future and present and repenting for her sinful work. And finally became Daughter of Jerusalem.

Because the past life of Mary just represent our day to day life style. She stands for every son, daughter, father and mother just like us. We search for our love like Mary and Daniel in each and every moment of our life, but fail to understand it's true meaning. "Learn to Love everyone and Forgive everyone." We pray to God and worship him, do all type of sacrifices but never ready to follow his path. "Lord says that He need no bulls or goats from us as sacrifice, that He wants from His people is our worship and thankfulness." That's what Jesus said. This path is very simple but we always run away from this for our ego and greediness to power and money that's what the priest did in the temple. We are always in search of a Messiah, who'll come and change everything for the sake of good, never try to realize that it just lie inside us inside every common man in a simple form.

And Mary a simple girl who always confused and suffered a lot for many people in her entire life, when she met her eternal Love when she met the GOD, he simply asked Mary to forgive everyone. Because they made the path of her meeting to God, so rather thanks them. "What ever you have done in your past just realize them and keep faith upon GOD and yourself."  This is the word of GOD and the word of Jesus. Just learn it and spread it.

Thank you to all who patiently read my thoughts about this book and kindly give your feedback.

Or will she surrender him to her enemies to stop an impending war? The fate of billions depends on whether she chooses life for a killer or the death of her lover.

Review :

I can say this book is the result of most wild and beautiful imagination of Kevis. If you love to read the science fiction,  love to listen a story about war of galaxies and if you like a suspense and action story then  I can say without any doubt you can enjoy this book.

Personally, for me this the first science fiction as a reader as well as a reviewer. I got a review request from the author for this book. And after finishing the 'Rogue Hunter Inquest'  I will say 'I enjoyed it just like a movie'.
I compared this book just like a movie because the book is full of drama, action, suspense and romance. The book will never allow you to put it down and never made you think about anyone else except Zyra a bounty hunter. Each time I turned a page I was more enthusiastic to know about "What will happen to Zyra next?  Will she able to escape Skringler from New Venus? Will Skringler get punishment for his wrong doing or because he is man? Will New Venus, the world of woman, peace, love and respect able to win the battle? Will ever Mikaela forgivr Zyra for her betray?"
Each moment and each scene of this book narrated with full of emotions from starting to end. The story started with the execution of Zyra in a court by the queen Karah because she was trying to extradite Skringler from New Venus to InterGallatic Alliance. And many questions and allegations raised on her for her crime. But at that time Zyra met Mikaela and both fell in love with each other. But as bounty hunter she never forgot her duty and tries to extradite Skringler by stealing the password from Mikaela's computer to punish Skringler by Intergallatic Alliance and save herself. But all her efforts lead to a serious war between two world.
Most importantly one thing I liked about this book was the author tried to picture the cruelty of man and their dominating nature over woman. The story goes flawlessly from starting to end. The book is very well written. I think any crazy reader can enjoy this book.
Finally Thanks to everyone who read this review patiently and also to the author who shared his book with me.

House Trap by Mike Mauthor

Book Title: House Trap
Author       : Mike Mauthor
Amazon Link :HOUSE TRAP

About story:
The story started with a cool and chill night. Everyone was preparing themselves for the upcoming Christmas. A little boy, just 10 years old, named Nicolas was staring at the sky and imagining about those gifts he’d be going to get for this Christmas. But all of a sudden mishap happened in his house that night. Nicolas found both of his parents murdered inside the house.
After 30 years, the same scenario happened again. But this time it was about Rachel who went to Alicia’s house as a tutor and had to spend a night there which was against her decision. Alicia’s father was the inventor of house trap and a well renowned person for his invention. But that night unfortunately, Alicia’s parents were absent inside the house. Two intruders, one of them was Jay Alicia’s friend and another one was Scott entered to house for some money. They both killed Alicia and tried to kill Rachel and Alicia’s brother Nathan and little sister Ame.
But the story looked most interesting, when you will get to know that Alicia’s father was no other than Nicolas, a person who went through these incidents at his tender age and invented house trap for the safety purpose. Now his invention worked as curse for his family. As the house trap was activated no one was able to come outside of that house including murderers and innocent kids.
And after finishing the story I am sure that the whole drama was with full of suspense and actions and also thrilled you.

For me:
What I liked about this story was finally Rachel learnt a lesson about life, freedom and realized that family & friends are much more important than just a good college and a degree.

The story was well plotted just like sequences of picture frames and it was smooth and a well thrilled story.
                I enjoyed it.
